Grandeur entered a Design Competition for Green Furniture Concept. This gave us the opportunity to conceptualize the bench possibility and potential uses.

Intent:

Flexing its body to become functional yet sculptural, the Nova-Series adds charisma to a space. From an airport waiting area to a university cafeteria, form merges with function to accommodate human comfort, technology and artistic viewing pleasure.

The Nova-Series flexible mechanism allows each rib along the back-rest to flex forward to become an arm rest or a crafty table top for simple snacking or working.

Additionally, integrated outlets on top of the planter box and disguised receptacle makes charging a laptop, cellphone or IPAD ‘a breeze’.
